LINESVILLE — Emma Stevenson had 15 points and Rylee Jones had 12 points to lead Conneaut to a 48-37 win over Franklin on Monday in Region 5 girls basketball action.

Jones also had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Jaelyn Blood had six points, six rebounds and three assists. Sam Egli had four steals.


Cards fall short

GREENVILLE — The 3-ball was falling for Cochranton on Monday night, but it wasn’t enough as the Cardinals fell to Greenville 58-53 in non-region girls basketball action.

Megan Heim and Lexie Moore had three treys each, finishing with 11 and 14 points, respectively. Jaylin McGill led the Cardinals with 16 points and also had seven rebounds. Moore had six boards. Riley Harvey had eight points and 10 rebounds.

Greenville’s Jaidah Rosario led all scorers with 23 points.


Trojans rout ’Dogs

MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP — Eleven players scored for McDowell as the Trojans rolled to a 70-14 win over Meadville on Monday in non-region girls basketball action.

Carlie Longo had seven points to lead Meadville.

Panthers roll Tigers

GUYS MILLS — Jaden Wilkins scored 20 points to lead Saegertown to a 68-26 win over Maplewood in Region 2 boys basketball action on Monday at the Wood Shed.

Max Fuller added 13 points for the Panthers, while Brady Greco chipped in with 12 points. 

Kaleb Donor had nine points for the Tigers.
