LARGO, Fla. — Richard C. Knoblow, 85, of Largo, Fla., died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at East Bay Nursing Center, Clearwater, Fla.
Born in Meadville, he moved to Florida in 1981 from Meadville. He retired from Erie-Lackawanna (now Conrail) Railroad after 35 years of service.
He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Largo, and a former member of Stone United Methodist Church, Meadville. He was a 25-year veteran and life member of M.P. Davis Hose Company Volunteer Fire Department, and past grand exalted ruler, district commander and life member of Elks Lodge 219 in Meadville.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Richard A. Brown of Smyrna, Tenn.; one nephew, David Brown of Smyrna; and three nieces, Deborah Biggs of Front Royal, Va., Denise Schaub of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Sheila Gregory of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Belcher Road Chapel, 693 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, Fla., (727) 562-2070, followed by the graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo, and then the memorial service at St. Paul United Methodist at 3:30 p.m.
