For over 100 years, Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community has committed itself to provide proactive health care and life enrichment services to the people of our community. Guided by our Christian principles and mission, we have been privileged to receive the great support from individuals, families, and the businesses of our region. Through good times and bad, we have endured and continued to serve because of that support.
As we face the serious and unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are inspired by the resolve of our residents, their families, our medical professionals, and staff to ensure that we are supported and prepared.
Since the crisis first arose, we have dedicated ourselves to providing a safe and healthy environment and have followed the evolving guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. With these preparations, we have been required to impose restrictions and limitations to protect the health and welfare of our community.
This necessarily has involved sacrifice, and we understand and regret the difficulties that these circumstances have created. We greatly appreciate the cooperation of our residents, their families, and our staff members as we play our part to address this crisis.
We also are reassured by the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by our care teams. Every element of the Wesbury Community is united and engaged together in addressing our shared responsibility to protect and care for one another. This fundamental principle — togetherness — is one of our greatest strengths and has carried us through many challenges in our history.
As citizens of northwestern Pennsylvania, we understand what it means to prepare for difficult times and making do with what you have until the roads clear. We understand the value of a good neighbor. On behalf of every member of the Wesbury family, we thank the members of our community for their contributions, support, and kindness as we face this challenge together.
