On May 21, I had a remarkable experience.
I live in northwestern Pennsylvania, and our local election primaries were held. We are one of the first counties in the state to test new voting machines with a paper receipt.
In its simplest form, you cast your ballot on a computer screen and a printer spits out your preferences. You check it for accuracy and then feed the paper ballot into a secure box. It is the first time in too many years to mention where I felt sure my ballot was safe.
Thank you, Gov. Tom Wolf, for your proactive stance on keeping our votes safe. I hope every county in Pennsylvania has these machines before the 2020 election!
