To say I was hurting last Saturday night, May 4, as I crawled into the Meadville Medical Center emergency room would be an understatement.
Not knowing what was wrong with my back had me concerned to say the least. But as soon as I approached the desk, a warm feeling came over me. I knew right away that I would be all right.
The courtesy and professionalism amazed me. The entire staff, from the security guard to the ER doctor could not have been more comforting. But more than that, I became aware of another presence, I knew that God was with me.
That night, that dark and rainy night, showed me the face of God. All these young people giving up their Saturday night, just to care of me. I am not a religious man, but that night, I will never forget.
From my neighbor who dropped everything to drive me in, to the entire staff of Meadville Medical Center, I extend a heartfelt thank you. God bless you, your family and know that you are doing God's work.
