As voters consider candidates for various offices, I urge them to favor those who are most likely to be promoters of the many positive happenings in our city and county. Community leaders and organizations are engaged in many activities that indicate a bright future for our region. The downtown business community is being revitalized. Our medical center bucks the trend and remains independent, and as a result, does much over-and-above for our community. The French Creek Heritage and Entertainment project is exciting and visionary. There’s more that space prevents mentioning.
These efforts will not continue without elected officials who cheer-lead and get involved. I believe one such individual is Jan Bialous, who aims to be a Democrat candidate for City Council. He chose to relocate to Meadville because of its location, its downtown living options, and its future.
By voting on May 21, you can be a voice for a positive future. Choose candidates who focus on the good things happening.
