TOWNVILLE — A Townville woman remains hospitalized after she was struck by a van as she was walking in Townville early this morning.

Stephanie Tucker, 25, was walking east bound on North Main Street at about 1:35 a.m. this morning when she was struck by an eastbound 2002 Chrysler Town & Country van driven by Olivia Frelick, 20, of Centerville, police report.

Frelick's van continued approximately 75 feet with Tucker on the hood of the vehicle, according to the police report. Tucker then rolled off the windshield onto North Main Street. The van came to rest approximately 30 feet from Tucker, facing southeast, police report.

Tucker was transported by medical helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie. She remains hospitalized in serious condition, according to a nursing supervisor.

No other injuries were reported due to the crash. The van sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Townville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
