PLATEA BOROUGH, Erie County — A Meadville woman is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police after she reportedly confessed to intending to manufacture controlled substances.

Courtney Renninger, 29, was confronted by state troopers out of the Girard barracks on Wednesday at 6 p.m. State police were responding to a report of an intoxicated woman at 8790 Meadville Road.

While performing a search of Renninger's belongings, police reportedly found drug paraphernalia. Following the discovery, Renninger confessed to being in possession of over-the-counter medication which she intended to use to make other controlled substances.
