EDINBORO — A Meadville man was seriously injured in a Saturday crash, according to state police at Girard.

Bradley G. Frantz, 34, was transported to Meadville Medical Center following the two-vehicle crash on Route 6N at Interstate 79, police reported.

Frantz had exited the south ramp from the interstate at 9:37 a.m. when the crash occurred, according to police. In attempting to make a left turn onto Route 6N, Frantz failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic, according to police.

Steven J. Shinn, 23, of Edinboro was headed east on Route 6N at the same time and was unable to avoid Frantz’s vehicle, striking the driver’s side of Frantz’s vehicle with the front end of his 2009 Mercury Milan, according to police. Both vehicles were disabled in the crash.

Shinn suffered a suspected minor injury, police reported.

Frantz was cited for failure to obey stop signs and yield signs, according to police.

Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
