The Meadville Tribune's second exhibit of artwork drawn by locals is now on display.
The artwork was recently provided by kids of any age who were asked to draw whatever comes to mind when they think of the Meadville Halloween Parade. The inaugural exhibit was Crawford County Fair-themed.
See a slideshow within this story of the submitted artwork. The artwork may also be viewed the next few weeks on a hallway wall of Meadville Council on the Arts, which is located above the Meadville Market House at 910 Market St.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 to 2 Saturdays.
The artwork may also be viewed tonight during a karaoke jam that begins at 7 at MCA and during MCA's showings of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at 9 and 11:59 p.m. Saturday in the Gardner Theatre.
If you're interested in attending either event after looking at the artwork, the karaoke jam costs a $5 donation to participate and each showing of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" is $10.
Prop bags, adult beverages and baked goods will be available during the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" showings with proceeds benefitting MCA. Dressing up is encouraged, and the event is meant for mature audiences.
The next exhibit’s theme is Meadville Light Up Night. If you want to participate in the next exhibit, mail or drop off your artwork at The Meadville Tribune, 947 Federal Court, Meadville, PA 16335. Be sure to include the artist's name with any submitted artwork.
