VERNON TOWNSHIP — The Meadville area’s March into Wellness Health and Wellness Expo has proven to be quite popular, with almost no tickets remaining for today’s main events.

With approximately 750 visitors expected at attend, a limited number of tickets — less than 30 — remain. The day-long activities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Movies at Meadville, 11155 Highline Drive.

“The event is all but sold out,” said Meadville Tribune Advertising Director Lon Wilson, who helped organize the event. In fact, no tickets remain for the television tapings of two “Savor the Flavor” cooking shows — one at 1 p.m. and another at 6. A total of 500 tickets, 250 for each show, had been available.

Some seats remain for “What’s Up Doc?,” a medical question-and-answer panel. Being taped live at 11 a.m., it will be hosted by MMC spokesperson Duane Kohler with guests including MMC doctors Brian Kazienko, Anand Noticewala and Amy Miles.

The cooking shows and “What’s Up Doc?” will be aired on Armstrong’s Channel 23 at dates and times to be announced.

Wilson said that “people will be able to check out the other presentations and displays,” which is a wide array from numerous area health-care professionals. At 12:30, Golden Living Center is hosting a 30-minute presentation on diabetes.

Tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for seniors 55 and older; and free for students 17 and under. Tickets are available at The Meadville Tribune, 947 Federal Court, and the Mind-Body Wellness Center, 18201 Conneaut Lake Road.
