ADAMSVILLE — The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal was unable to determine the cause of a fire which destroyed two buildings on Adamsville’s main street Wednesday.
The fire began around 8:30 p.m. and destroyed two building containing the U.S. Post Office, a ceramic shop, a restaurant and six apartments causing an estimated $500,000 damage.
Fallowfield Fire & Rescue Fire Chief Adam Valesky said on Friday that Trooper Ken Hamilton, the fire marshal, said the site was too badly burned for Hamilton to make an accurate ruling on the fire’s cause and origin.
According to Valesky, Hamilton had heard there was a video of the first 15 to 20 minutes of the fire before any trucks arrived on the scene. The fire department is still interested in obtaining the video.
“It’s just to help out with the investigation,” Valesky said.
Those who have video of the fire are asked to call the fire department at 382-7341.
