VERNON TOWNSHIP — The Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship welcomes everyone to this month's dinner meeting Saturday at Perkins restaurant on Conneaut Lake Road. Dinner is at 6 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7.
The special guests are Rex and Priscilla White. They live near Corry.
Rex played guitar as a little boy in Kane. Priscilla has been playing since she was a teenager in Harborcreek. They both were saved at an early age and wanted to serve the Lord with music. Rex also traveled and played guitar, bass and pedal steel for the gospel group, The Keys, during the 1970s and 1980s.
Priscilla was a widow when they met in 1995 in Warren at a rest home where she was working and Rex went there to entertain the residents. They knew very soon that they could make "beautiful music" together, got married and have been playing and singing for more than 20 years as worship leaders, singers and songwriters.
The Whites offer this Psalm 150:6 that says, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."
During the advent season, the United Methodist churches of Harmonsburg and Linesville will be visited by “persons” (portrayed by Pastor Dennis Lawton) who were present at the first Christmas.
The Maji concludes the visitations on Sunday.
All are invited to attend and hear the story of Jesus’s birth unfold.
Services are held in Harmonsburg at 9:30 a.m. and in Linesville at 11.
