A Harmonsburg area man injured in a Wednesday night farm tractor crash in Vernon Township has died.
Robert King passed away at 11:06 p.m. Wednesday at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook confirmed.
King's death was ruled accidental due to blunt force trauma to the head, Cook told the Tribune on Thursday.
King, 69, of 14125 Inlet Road was injured when his farm tractor went off Putnam Road into a ditch around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Vernon Township Police Department. The crash happened in western Vernon Township not far from Putnman Road's intersection with Harmonsburg Road.
King was taken from the scene by Meadville Area Ambulance Service to Port Meadville Airport where he was flown to UPMC Hamot, Chief Randy Detzel of Vernon Township Police Department said.
Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Funeral arrangements for King are under the direction of Waid-Coleman Funeral Home Inc. of Conneaut Lake.
