WEST MEAD TOWNSHIP — The Crawford County Fair Board has opted to let two organizations keep their booths at the fairgrounds after concerns were raised over possible political exhibitions.
This afternoon, the board made no changes to contracts allowing the Committee to Elect Fratus Sheriff and Fair Districts PA keep their respective exhibition booths at the fair.
Brian Cagle, chairman of the Committee to Elect Fratus Sheriff, told the Fair Board the board would have to get a court order to get the Fratus campaign to remove its booth. Cagle cited the fact there was a signed and approved contract with the Fair Board.
However, the Fair Board also opted to review its exhibitor policies for future fairs.
The Crawford County Fair Board traditionally has not allowed political exhibitions/booths on the fairgrounds except for organized political parties.
