LINESVILLE — Conneaut Area Senior High School has received an award for promoting female involvement in computer science.
The school was given the College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award. The honor, given out by the not-for-profit education organization College Board, recognizes the school for working to "close the gender equity gap in computer science."
Conneaut is one of 1,119 schools recognized for their work in equal gender representation for the 2019-20 school year, according to College Board. The school is one of only 831 schools to be recognized for promoting female diversity in the field of computer sciences.
