The 2021 season will be the final one for Campbell Pottery Store, as the business owners have announced their upcoming retirement.

In a newsletter sent out via email, Bill and Jane Campbell said they would be closing the store after 30 years in business, calling 2021 their "farewell season."

"Who would have thought it would thrive in the middle of nowhere?" the newsletter reads. "But it is time to slow down. A VERY long vacation is in order."

The business plans to open March 1 as expected, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. However, it will only remain open until an unspecified final date in the summer, rather than its full season of staying open until Dec. 31.

Pottery made by Bill will be on display at the story, but Campbell pottery will not be discounted during the season, but will be available for purchase. Other products will have discounts, however.

Campbell Pottery has served as a major attraction in the Cambridge Springs area for many years. Bill's porcelain clay pottery has been featured in more than 500 galleries, specializing primarily in glazed pottery.

Editor's note: This story was updated Feb. 22 to reflect that Campbell pottery will be available to purchase during the 2021 season, but will not have sale discounts applied to them.
