As a contestant on the Dec. 26 episode of the Wheel of Fortune, Matt DeSanto stunned his fellow competitors and the audience and with his problem-solving skills. DeSanto ended up solving every other puzzle during the game. He was able to tally a record $91,892. That is the most money ever won by a main-game winner.
It began in an early round when, with nothing more than an "E" on the board, DeSanto had an epiphany and came up with the answer: "The Lone Ranger." The youtube video of DeSanto's feat had more than a million views in three days.
"The wheel definitely worked in my favor," DeSanto told TODAY.com. "I was extremely fortunate."
