Magisterial District Judge

-Christopher M. Kantola, 38, of Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Dec. 1 on Meadville police charges of one count of simple assault and two summary offenses for an incident Nov. 19 and was released on his own recognizance.

Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Adam J. Hall, 18, of Meadville, was bound over to the next term of court Dec. 9 on Vernon Township police charges of one count each of receiving stolen property, burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking for an incident Oct. 25 and was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

-Allan J. Watkins, 18, of Harmonsburg, was bound over to the next term of court Dec. 9 on Vernon Township police charges of one count each of receiving stolen property, burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking for an incident Oct. 25 and was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

-Carol L. Kohler, 52, of Meadville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing Dec. 9 on a Vernon Township police charge of one count of retail theft for an incident Oct. 13 and was released on her own recognizance.

Magisterial District Judge

-John C. Mervine, 45, of Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Dec. 1 on Pennsylvania State Police charges of two counts of driving under the influence and three summary traffic offenses for an incident Oct. 1 and was released on his own recognizance.

Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Jamme L. Locke, 32, of Conneaut Lake, was bound over to the next term of court Nov. 30 on Pennsylvania State Police charges of one count of driving under the influence and one summary traffic offense for an incident Aug. 17 and was released on her own recognizance.

-James M. Simons, 26, no address listed, was bound over to the next term of court Dec. 1 on state police charges of one count each of aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person for an incident July 11 and was released on $50,000 unsecured bond. 

Crashes

State Police

-Brian L. Kindle, 39, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, was driving on Highway 77 in Richmond Township at 9 a.m. Dec. 1 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to slide off the road and strike a sign, an embankment and a tree. Kindle was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.

-John H. Schmucker, 64, of Meadville, was driving north on Route 173 in Wayne Township at 4:08 p.m. Dec. 9 when he attempted to turn his vehicle left onto Lippert Road, causing it to be struck by a vehicle being driven south on Route 173 by Karen M. Haines, 29, of Cochranton. Schmucker reportedly sustained minor injuries.
