Magisterial District Judge

-Donna Rusek, 41, of 23472 State Highway 18, Apt. 2, Springboro, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm and was bound over to the next term of court on a charge of retail theft. Meadville Police filed the charge for an incident Oct. 24. She was released on her own recognizance.

Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Mark Blaede, 29, of Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Nov. 30 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on Vernon Township police charges of two counts of access device fraud, one count of theft by unlawful taking and two summary offenses for an incident Oct. 8 and was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Misty M. Smith, 27, of Springboro, was arraigned Nov. 28 before Meadville-area Magisterial District Judge William D. Chisholm, acting for Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood, on Pennsylvania State Police charges of one count each of simple assault and harassment for an incident Nov. 27 and was released on non-monetary bond with conditions.

-Edward D. Braden, 27, of Springboro, was arraigned Nov. 28 before Chisholm, acting for Marwood, on state police charges of one count each of unlawful restraint, simple assault and harassment for an incident Nov. 28 and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $10,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 8.

Crashes

State Police

-Melissa E. Drake, 47, of Saegertown, was driving south on Route 86 in Cambridge Township at 11:32 a.m. Nov. 30 when she lost control of her vehicle after swerving it to miss a deer, causing the vehicle to travel off the road and strike a ditch. Drake was reportedly wearing a seatbelt; it wasn’t determined whether or not she sustained injuries.
