Ashtabula Star Beacon GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE — The sunny side of Lake Erie is an attraction all by itself, but just in case the shoreline isn’t enough excitement, the village has Adventure Zone. This family entertainment mecca on the lake offers Go-Karts, bumper boats, mini golf, batting cages, climbing and repelling walls, and a play area and snack shop. “We didn’t do too much to change Adventure Zone this year. We just concentrated on improving the attractions,” owner Larry Winchell said. Adventure Zone got a new arcade last year, an attraction Winchell said has people lining up for admission this year. “I think word of mouth really got around last year, because we had a lot of repeat customers. I don’t know, my favorite attractions are still the Go-Karts and mini golf,” he said.
