The Edinboro University women’s soccer team received good news on Monday evening as the Fighting Scots were awarded a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament for the third consecutive year. California (Pa.) is the one seed in the Atlantic Region and boasts a 17-2-2 record. The four seed is West Chester and will be playing the five seed Kutztown. This is a rematch of the quarterfinals of the PSAC Tournament in which West Chester won 2-1. The Golden Rams come into the game 13-7-0 while the Golden Bears are 12-6-0. Slippery Rock is the No. 2 seed and because of that is hosting the Edinboro/Shippensburg game. The Rock has a 13-3-2 record.
The winner of the Edinboro and Shippensburg plays Slippery Rock. The Fighting Scots are still seeking their first NCAA Tournament win in program history.
