COLLEGE UPDATE: DiBartolomeo leads Lakers to perfect finish at Salem

(Continued)

MEADVILLE — Proctor aiding Scots

Cochranton graduate Shelby Proctor is making an impression as a member of the Edinboro University softball team.

Proctor made seven starts for the Fighting Scots heading into play Monday. The catcher/outfielder is batting .250 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a double so far in her freshman season.

Majewski lands another honor

As if Edinboro guard and former General McLane standout Valerie Majewski’s season on the court couldn’t get any better, it did on March 13, when she was named to the 2013-14 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball All-Atlantic Region First Team.

In her first season with the Fighting Scots, Majewski has received a number of honors during the year, including being named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Athlete of the Year.

Majewski led the Fighting Scots to their third PSAC tournament title in four seasons, earning Most Valuable Player honors along the way.

The latest proposed expansion plan for the Crawford County Courthouse potentially would eliminate the former Tarr Mansion on Diamond Park to make room for a county administrative building. Should the 1860 mansion be demolished?

Leave it alone because it’s historic.
Try to incorporate it into the proposed expansion.
It’s too far gone to save, but it’s memory may be preserved with an artifacts and photo display within the proposed courthouse complex.
