GM grabs region lead
EDINBORO — General McLane took over sole possession of first place in Region 4 on Monday with a 47-38 win over Seneca.
Michelle Jahn led the Lancers, who trailed 14-12 after a quarter of play, with 15 points. Celeste Seidel added 14 points and Katie Rodrigues tallied nine points.
The Lancers improved to 17-3 overall and 11-1 in Region 4. Seneca fell to 15-5 overall and 10-2 in the region. The Bobcats are now in a tie for second place with Girard, who General McLane faces Thursday at General McLane High School.
Ike silences Thunder
RUSSELL — The Eisenhower girls basketball team had 10 players score points as the Lady Knight took down Calvary Baptist 65-22 during a non-region tilt on Monday.
Kristen Williams was the top scorer for Eisenhower (7-12) with 14 points. Kristen Boan chipped in 11 markers and Mallory Trumbull added 10 points.
The top performance for Calvary (10-7) belonged to Brooke Lewandowski, who tallied 14 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks.
