MEADVILLE — Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Joshua A. Jones, 33, of 25397 North Hickernell Road, Springboro, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood and was bound over to the next term of  the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on two counts of driving under the influence and five summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 30 in Summit Township. He was released on his own recognizance. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 11.

-David A. Muckinhaupt, 32, of 16301 South Shady Acres Drive, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on the charge of DUI and two summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 25 in Summit Township. He was released on his own recognizance. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 11.

-Kenneth J. Miller, 24, of 709 Depot Street, Jamestown, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on two counts of DUI and six summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 27 in South Shenango Township. He was released on his own recognizance. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 11.

-Matthew L. Putman, 25, of 12429 East Gelvin Road, Atlantic, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on two counts of DUI and one summary charge. Conneaut Lake police filed the charges for an incident on Nov. 23. He was released on his own recognizance. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 11.



Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Tiffany A. Dickson, 19, of 110 Asbury Manor East, Meadville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on the charge of simple assault and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 18. She was placed in the Crawford County jail on $2,500 bail.

-April L. Miller, 46, of 613 Williams St., Clearfield, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on charges of retail theft and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Meadville police filed the charges for incidents on Nov. 27 and 28. She was released from the Crawford County jail on $2,500 bond.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Candy L. Hicks, 41, of Saegertown, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on the charge of theft by unlawful taking. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charge for an incident on Aug. 31 in Spartansburg. She was released on her own recognizance.



Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Chad W. Leonhart, 39, of 102 Terrace Drive, Edinboro, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver and was bound over to the next term of the Crawford County Court of Common Pleas on 33 counts of rape of a child, 58 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, 144 counts of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 1, 2009, in Hayfield Township. He was placed in the Crawford County jail on $100,000 bail.



Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Ernest S. Hart, 25, of 20999 Fairfield Acres, Cochranton, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm acting for Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 12 in Fairfield Township. He was placed in the Crawford County jail on $25,000 bail.

-Tyler A Obert, 20, of Meadville, was accused of simple assault after allegedly punching and choking an unidentified female in Union Township at an unknown time Dec. 6 and 7, according to state police. No further details were released.



Crashes

State Police

-Frank Messina, 48, of Spartansburg, was traveling north on Route 89 south of Cloverdale Road in Rome Township when he traveled across the oncoming traffic lane for unknown reasons and left the roadway at 11:10  p.m. Dec. 14, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly straddled and rode a guard rail, striking several bridge posts before falling off the right side of the rail and returning to its wheels on the roadway. Police said the driver traveled off the roadway again, coming to rest in a ditch. The driver was airlifted to UPMC Hamot for severe injuries.
