MEADVILLE — Crashes

State Police

- Bruce Holcoms, 69, of Meadville, struck a Mack dump truck while attempting to pass it on State Route 77 at Hobbs Road in West Mead Township at 11:49 a.m. Dec. 11, according to state police. Driver Daniel Tautin, 56, of Meadville, was reportedly turning onto Hobbs Road when Holcoms struck the left front of his dump truck with a Ford F 1-50, causing moderate to major damage on both vehicles. Tautin suffered minor injuries, police said. West End Towing assisted on scene. No further details were provided by police.
