MEADVILLE — Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Joseph M. Smith, 19, of Meadville, was arraigned July 6 before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood on Pennsylvania State Police at Meadville charges of one count each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and disorderly conduct for an incident July 6 and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $10,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.

-Shawn M. Cerne, 21, of Conneaut Lake, waived is right to a preliminary hearing July 9 on Conneaut Lake Regional Police Department charges of two counts of driving under the influence and two summary traffic offenses for an incident May 20 and was released on his own recognizance.

n Lindsay R. Goldsmith, 26, of Conneaut Lake, waived her right to a preliminary hearing July 9 on Conneaut Lake Regional police charges of two counts of driving under the influence and two summary traffic offenses for an incident June 9 and was released on her own recognizance.



Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Russell J. McClelland, 46, of Saegertown, waived his right to a preliminary hearing July 5 before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on West Mead Township Police Department charges of three counts each of burglary and criminal trespass and one count each of theft by unlawful taking, defiant trespass and criminal mischief for an incident June 9 and was recommitted to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $10,000 bond.

-Adam R. Collins, 21, of Meadville, was arraigned July 9 on Meadville police charges of one count of simple assault and two summary traffic offenses for an incident July 5 and was released on nonmonetary bond with conditions. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 19.



Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Raymond Houser, 71, of Meadville, was arraigned July 6 before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln S. Zilhaver on Pennsylvania State Police at Meadville charges of one count each of simple assault and harassment for an incident July 5 and was released on nonmonetary bond.

-Rebecca M. Colburn, 53, of Meadville, was arraigned July 6 on state police charges of one count each of simple assault and harassment for an incident July 5 and was released on nonmonetary bond.

-Robert J. Crowe, 31, of Cambridge Springs, was arraigned July 9 on Cambridge Springs Police Department charges of one count each of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and receiving stolen property for an incident March 13 and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $25,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 19.

-Adam Cummings, 26, of Cambridge Springs, was bound over to the next term of court July 11 on state police charges of one count of driving under the influence and five summary traffic offenses for an incident June 14 and was released on his own recognizance.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Blessing D. Mabugu, 18, of Titusville, was arraigned July 2 before Meadville-area Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm, acting for Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols, on Titusville Police Department charges of one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, harassment by physical contact disorderly conduct and two counts of criminal mischief for an incident July 1 and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $25,000 bond.



Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Elizabeth A. Bevilheimer, 25, of Saegertown, waived her right to a preliminary hearing July 3 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on Vernon Township Police Department charges of one count each of theft by deception, criminal attempt to commit theft by deception, retail theft and conspiracy to commit theft by deception for an incident April 27 and was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.



Crashes

State Police

-Ryan M. Jewell, of Meadville, was traveling north on State Route 19, Perry Township, Mercer County, at 3:14 p.m. on July 5 when his vehicle went off the east berm and struck a utility pole, causing it to travel across the southbound lane of traffic and impact an embankment before coming to rest. Jewell suffered minor injuries and was transported by Life Force Ambulance Service to UPMC Horizon, Greenville.



Crimes

State Police

-Someone stole and smashed lawn ornaments from a residence along Sylvia Drive, North Shenango Township, sometime between July 6 and 8. Some of the items were found nearby. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 332-6911.

-Police are investigating the scattering of rubbish on Timko Road at its intersection with Shadeland Road in Spring Township. The scattering happened an unknown number of times between June 15 and July 5. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 332-6911.
