MEADVILLE — Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-April M. Lee, 29, of Oil City, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols on the charge of retail theft and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Feb. 10 in Oil Creek Township. Her bond is set at $5,000 unsecured.

-Jerred L. Turk, 27, of Titusville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. Titusville Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 29. He was placed in Crawford County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Brandon J. Waite, 21, of 4209 Pitts Road, Adamsville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on July 20 in West Shenango Township. His bond is set at $25,000 unsecured. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 15.

Crime

State Police

-Adam J. Peever, 29, of Titusville, was charged with theft by deception for purchasing a product from Wal-Mart in Titusville then returning a different item in its packaging for a full refund at 10:12 a.m. Nov. 3, according to state police. He is set to appear before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols at a later date.

-A 36-year-old Espyville man was accused of harassment resulting from a domestic dispute with a 35-year-old Greenville woman at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 in North Shenango Township, according to state police. Charges are currently pending.

Crashes

State Police

-Kristie M. Sindlinger, 27, of Linesville, was traveling west on Putnam Road east of Harmonsburg Road in Summit Township when she left the road for unknown reasons and struck a tree at 6:50 p.m. on Oct. 30, according to state police. She reportedly fled the scene with no injuries and failed to report the crash to police.

-Joshua A. Jones, 33, of Springboro, was traveling east on Thatcher Road in Spring Township when he lost control and traveled off the roadway and struck a tree, rolling his vehicle onto its roof at 2 a.m. Oct. 10, according to State Police. Jones reportedly fled the scene and was located at a Springboro residence. Police reported his 2000 Chevy S-10 suffered severe damage.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a crash at the intersection of State Highway 99 and Racop Road at 7:50 p.m. Nov. 3 in Venango Township. The driver, whose identity was retained, failed to negotiate a curve on State Highway 99 and left the roadway over an embankment, causing property damage to a Racop Road residence, according to police. The driver was reportedly treated and released at the scene by Edinboro Ambulance Service. Cambridge Springs Fire Department assisted. The 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix sustained minor damage to the left fender and was able to be driven from the scene, police said.

-Christopher J. Deets, 32, of Guys Mills, was traveling east on State Route 27 when he failed to negotiate a right turn and lost control at the intersection of Route 27 and Frenchtown Road in East Mead Township at 2:20 a.m. Nov. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Meadville barracks. He reportedly left the roadway and went into a cemetery, striking several gravestones before going airborne and striking a tree. His 2005 Chevrolet Impala hit several more grave markers before coming to a rest. He was taken to Meadville Medical Center for treatment and later released. Charges are pending, according to police.
