MEADVILLE — Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Jason M. Oakes, 38, of Titusville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols and bound over to the next term of court on nine counts of acquisition or obtaining possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation. The Attorney General’s office filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 13 in Titusville. His bond is set at $25,000 unsecured. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 8.



Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Jared M. Slaughter, 26, of Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver on the charge of theft from a motor vehicle and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Aug. 31 in Randolph Township. He was released on nonmonetary bond.



Crashes

State Police

-Albert S. Hays Jr., 24, of Cochranton, was traveling north on State Route 19, approaching its intersection with Delano Road in Greenwood Township at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 31 when an unknown vehicle entered his oncoming path, according to PSP, Meadville barracks. He reportedly traveled off the roadway to avoid the vehicle and impacted a guard rail and nearby utility pole with the driver side. No injuries were reported.
