Magisterial District Judge

-Danielle M. Stitt, 29, of 3907 Andrea Court, Erie, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and two summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on March 29 in Vernon Township. She was released on her own recognizance.

-Rita A. Lapradd, 66, of 2855 Laush Road, Cochranton, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Aug. 13, 2011, in Fairfield Township. She was released on her own recognizance.

-A Springboro man reported a theft at a property on Route 98 in Cussewago Township between midnight and 4 p.m. April 26. Someone stole numerous items, believed to be taken for scrap items. Anyone with information is asked to call  332-6911.



Crashes

State Police

-Thomas J. Rich, 42, of Springboro, was traveling west on Harmonsburg Road in Summit Township when he fell asleep and entered the oncoming lane of travel at 5 p.m. April 26, according to state police.

He reportedly drove over a curb and struck a warning sign before driving back into the westbound lane and coming to rest. He received minor injuries from his broken sun roof, police said. The vehicle was towed from the scene by LA Auto Towing. DUI charges pending.
