MEADVILLE — Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Robert W. Nesbitt, 58, of Edinboro, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and one summary charge. Cambridge Springs police filed the charges for an incident on May 3. He was released on his own recognizance.


State Police

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a burglary at Range Resources on Mackey Hill Road in Rockdale Township between 3 and 5 a.m. May 25. One or more unknown suspects reportedly broke pad locks off a door and unlawfully entered a building. Upon entry, the suspect(s) turned off the internal engines before leaving the location, police said. Nothing was reported to be stolen.

-A 78-year-old Atlantic woman reported a burglary on Atlantic Road in East Fallowfield Township at an unknown time between May 1 and 27, according to state police. One or more unknown suspects reportedly removed an older model riding lawnmower from a residence and entered an unoccupied mobile home on the property.

-A Jamestown man reported a case of criminal trespass on Collins Road in South Shenango Township between 2 p.m. May 27 and 7:30 p.m. May 29, according to state police. An unknown suspect reportedly entered a detached garage and left without taking anything.

-A 69-year-old Conneautville man reported a theft on Lester Road in Conneaut Township between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 26, according to state police. A known suspect reportedly stole a bottle of prescription medication from a residence.

-State police reported a theft from a motor vehicle parked at The Oaks in Hydetown between 1 and 2 a.m. May 25. An unknown suspect reportedly entered a vehicle and stole a wallet. Anyone with information is asked to call the Corry barracks at (814) 663-2043.


State Police

-Steven E. Kuzma, 57, of Columbus, was traveling east on Canadohta Lake Road in Sparta Township when he left the roadway for an unknown reason at 2 p.m. May 27, according to state police. He reportedly traveled 60 feet before striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

-Lisa A. Calvert, 30, of Meadville, was traveling north on routes 6 and 19 in Woodcock Township when she crossed the opposing lane of traffic and left the roadway at an unknown time May 27, according to state police. The vehicle reportedly traveled down an embankment and began to roll before landing on its roof in a stream. She was taken to Meadville Medical Center for minor injuries, police said. Route 19 Towing and Saegertown Fire Department assisted on scene.

-Jeremy J. Rickert, 22, of Connoquenessing, was traveling north on Interstate 79 in Hayfield Township when a deer crossed into his path, causing him to swerve at approximately 10 a.m. May 26, according to state police. The vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck a drainage ditch. No injuries were reported.
