Magisterial District Judge

-Daniel P. Strausser, 23, of 3540 1st Ave., Jamestown, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood and bound over to the next term of court on two counts of simple assault and two summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on June 1 in South Shenango Township. His bond is set as nonmonetary.

-Jack L. Walker Jr., 56, of 26633 Route 18, Albion, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of manufacture/delivery/possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver and possession of marijuana. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on May 8 in Spring Township. His bond is set at $5,000 unsecured.

-Edgar L. Guiher II, 32, of 11372 East Third St., Conneaut Lake, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of manufacture/delivery/possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver, unlawful body armor, receiving stolen property, intentional possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Conneaut Lake police filed the charges for an incident on May 13 in Sadsbury Township. He was placed in Crawford County jail on $10,000 bond.

-Mary E. Sofia, 33, of 4 Beech Road, Greenville, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on two counts of criminal attempt and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 11, 2012, in West Shenango Township. Her bond is set at $5,000 unsecured.

Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Ernest F. Bauer, 63, of 13635 Coleman Road, Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on April 5 in Vernon Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Frank C. Rogers III, 27, of 868 Washington St., Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on the charge of theft by unlawful taking. Vernon Township police filed the charge for an incident on May 10. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Ernest S. Hart, 25, of 20999 Fairfield Acres, Cochranton, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, resisting arrest and three summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Feb. 3 in Fairfield Township. He was placed in Crawford County jail on $70,000 bond.
