Magisterial District Judge

-Tracy L. Moyer, 44, of Meadville, was arraigned July 27 on Vernon Township police charges of two counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and one count each of criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance for an incident Jan. 26, 2011 and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $2,500 bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 8.



Crashes

State Police

-Jessica L. Overmier, 24, of Cochranton, was driving east on Route 198 in Summerhill Township at 4:04 p.m. July 25 when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to travel off the road and into a ditch. Overmier was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Her passenger, a 5-year-old male, was secured in a child safety seat and sustained minor injuries. Hayfield Volunteer Fire Department, Fellows Club Volunteer Fire Department and Conneaut Lake Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

-Travis L. Loper, 21, of Meadville, was driving south on Route 19 in Waterford Township, Erie County, at 4:16 p.m. July 26 when his vehicle struck the rear of a stopped vehicle being driven south by Sandra M. Billings, 71, of Edinboro. Billings’ vehicle subsequently struck the rear of a stopped vehicle being driven south by Carrie A. Brown, 35, of Waterford. Loper was not wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Billings was wearing a seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries. Brown was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

-Tyler R. Noethiger, 18, of Sewickley, was driving north on Interstate 79 in Greenwood Township at 6:20 p.m. July 28 when he lost control of his vehicle on the wet road, causing the vehicle to slide off the road and strike an embankment and a large tree. Noethiger was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Greenwood Ambulance Services assisted. The vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

-Adam Shawn Dingle, 21, Union City, was traveling south on Lake Road in Bloomfield Township on July 25 at 6:45 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the northbound line and traveled approximately 80 feet while rolling. No injuries were reported from the crash. An investigation continues.

-Matthew L. Wilson, 24, Centerville, was traveling north on Route 2029 on July 25 at 7:10 p.m. when his vehicle crossed over into the southbound lane and off the west berm before striking a tree. He was distracted by his cigarette, which fell out of his mouth and into his lap.

-Jessica M. Dugan, 20, Conneautville, was traveling southbound on South Norrisville Road in Hayfield Township on July 27 at noon when she lost control of her vehicle while attempting to negotiate a left curve. The vehicle traveled into a standing puddle of water, causing it to travel off the west berm where the vehicle then hit a drainage culvert. Dugan was not injured and was a wearing a seatbelt.



Crimes

State Police

-Someone entered a Fauncetown Road, Troy Township building and stole a Dell laptop computer from the owner’s office area sometime between 8 p.m. July 28 and noon July 29. An investigation continues. Anyone with related information is asked to contact state police at Corry at (814) 663-2043.

-Arial Lynn Cooper, 22, Cambridge Springs, and Jennifer Leanna Cooper, 25, Centerville, admitted to stealing miscellaneous CDs and DVDs and sunglasses valued at $80.81 from Wal-Mart in Titusville on July 17 at 6:08 p.m. Retail theft charges are pending in District Court 30-3-06.

n Someone removed an orange Husqvarna riding lawnmower from a resident on Maple Grove Road, Bloomfield Township, between July 14 and 25. Anyone with information is asked to contact Corry State Police at (814) 663-2043.

-Someone gained access to a 2003 Buick Century and drove it away before it was later recovered at a private residence in Tionesta between July 25 and 26 in Hydetown Borough. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Corry State Police at (814) 663-2043.
