MEADVILLE — Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-A case against Logan Joseph Therasse, 26, of Edinboro, was waived for court following a preliminary hearing before Saegertown Area Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver on charges of careless driving and two counts of DUI. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on July 30 in Venango Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Donald B. Byerley, 23, of Bradford, pled guilty to the charge of simple assault before Zilhaver. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charge for an incident on Sept. 9 in Randolph Township. A charge of harassment was withdrawn and he was released from Crawford County prison.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Dana Lynn Rodgers, 46, of Titusville, was waived for court before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols on charges of careless driving and two counts of DUI. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Aug. 20 in Oil Creek Township. She was released on her own recognizance.

-Carrie May Nelson, 27, of Titusville, was waived for court before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols on the charge of retail theft. Titusville police filed the charge for an incident on Aug. 30 in Titusville. She was released from Crawford County Prison on $2,500 bail.



Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

Charges against Mark Douglas Ulbrich, 57, of Meadville, were waived to the next session of Crawford County court after he waived a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on charges of careless driving and two counts of DUI. Pennsylvania State Police at Meadville filed the charges for an incident on Aug. 15 in West Mead Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

n Bryan Scott Stephens, 43, of 2100 Independence Drive, Saegertown, was arrested by Meadville police on charges of criminal trespass and criminal mischief. He was arraigned before Chisholm, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28. He was placed in Crawford County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

n Irving Reid St. John, 61, of Meadville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on charges of forgery and theft by deception. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 17. He was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 28.



Vernon Area

Magisterial District Justice

April Lee Miller, 46, of 987 Burns Avenue, Meadville, was waived for court before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property. Vernon Township police filed the charges. Her bail is set at $5,000.



Linesville Area

Magisterial District Justice

-Kevin John Clausen, 25, of Linesville was accused of access device fraud when he allegedly stole a debit card on Aug. 29 and used it to make transactions totaling $571.58, according to state police. Numerous charges were filed on Sept. 15 before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood.



Crashes

State Police

-Christopher Michael DeMaison, 32, of 15204 Linda Ave., Saegertown, was involved in a crash on Wolf Road, just west of State Route 198 in Randolph Township at 10:04 p.m. Sept. 18. Charges are pending, according to state police.

-A 44-year-old Summit Township woman found a criminal trespasser in her residence at 11:20 a.m. Sept. 1, according to state police. The suspect’s name is undisclosed and police are still investigating.

-A 25-year-old man and 21-year-old man in Summit Township were victims of burglary at an unknown time on June 23 when an unknown person entered their residence and removed an AK47 assault-type rifle, according to state police. The investigation continues.

-Christopher J. Hodson, 18, of Titusville, was traveling north on State Highway 173 at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 18  when he lost control of his vehicle, leaving the west side of the roadway and rolling the car onto its roof, according to state police. The 2006 Ford Escape came to rest in a swamp on the north side of the roadway and suffered heavy damage. Hodson was taken to Meadville Medical Center for treatment and later released.

-Padam B. Baniya, 22, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested for driving under the influence after an accident on Interstate 79 South, about 837 feet north of East Forest Road, Cussewago Township, at 12:50 a.m. Sept. 15. Baniya was swerving left in his 2004  Chrysler Pacifica when he crossed both lanes, left the roadway and struck some small trees in the median, according to state police. Neither Baniya nor passengers Yam Tamang, 22, Maita Gurung, 25, or Ganja Tamang, 25, suffered injuries.



Crimes

State Police

-A license plate with Pa. registration J08328J was stolen from a vehicle at the Titusville Motor Co. parking lot in Hydetown Borough at approximately 9 a.m. on Sept. 11. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Corry at (814) 663-2043.

-A 66-year-old Spartansburg woman reported several lawn ornaments stolen from her residence in Rome Township at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 14. State police in Corry ask anyone with information to call (814) 663-2043.

-A 26-year-old Jamestown woman was robbed at 11 p.m. Sept. 11 when one or more unknown persons stole a car radio worth an estimated $400 from her 2001 Toyota GT, according to state police. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Meadville at 332-6911

-Amber Kull of Meadville was stopped by State Police for traffic violations and then arrested for driving under the influence on Middle Road at Brooks Road, Vernon Township at 1:20 a.m. Sunday. No other information was provided by police.
