MEADVILLE — Crashes

State Police

-Randy K. Ferguson, 41, of Greenville, was a u-turn using Kibble Road in East Fallowfield Township at 7:50 a.m. Aug. 22 and failed to see a unit being driven by Sara J. Pitts, 33, of Jamestown traveling toward him before pulling out. Ferguson’s vehicle collided with Pitts’ vehicle. Ferguson was not injured. Pitts was transported to Meadville Medi-cal Center with unknown injury.

-A 17-year-old female was traveling westbound on Sweeney Road, Rockdale Township, at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 23 when she became distracted causing her to lose control of her vehicle and travel off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a ditch and fence and then rolled over onto its passenger side.

n Ruthie M. Weaver, 53, of Cochranton was driving west on State Highway 198 in Woodcock Township at 10:16 a.m. on Aug. 23 when she approached a stopped vehicle and was rear-ended by a vehicle being driven by Christy D. Weaver, 52, of Cochranton. There were no injuries.

-Toney Phillips, 22, of Meadville was traveling off Interstate 79 North onto the West 26th Street exit in Erie at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 when he lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a curve, traveled off the roadway and impacted a guide rail. The unit tipped over and slid across the roadway. Phillips was thrown off the motorcycle at an undetermined point. He was transported to UPMC Hamot where he was listed in fair condition Sunday evening.

-Jean M. Harvey of Meadville was traveling south on Interstate 79 at milepost 158 when she impacted a deer causing moderate front end damage to her vehicle. There were no injuries.

Crimes

State Police

-Someone drove off with a canoe trailer and three canoes from a location on Palmer Road, Springboro sometime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 23. The actor or actors hooked the trailer up to a white 1990s van and traveled south on Palmer Road. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 332-6911.

-Someone removed a 40 caliber Glock pistol from a vehicle parked at a Lake Road, Greenwood Township location sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 16 and 10 a.m. Aug. 24 and then fled in an unknown direction.

-Someone removed a .30-.30 Marlin lever action rifle from a residence on Wilkins Road, Bloomfield Township sometime between June 20 and July 3.
