State Police

-Dominic A. Anderson, 38, of Atlantic, was traveling on Route 98 in Hayfield Township when he fell asleep and left the roadway at 4:30 a.m. July 18, according to state police. He reportedly struck a ditch off the west side of the road. No injuries were reported.

-A 12-year-old male was driving an all-terrian-vehicle on Brookhouser Road in Hayfield Township when he lost control of the vehicle and struck two mailboxes at 4:40 p.m. July 17, according to state police. He and his 14-year-old passenger were reportedly transported to UPMC Hamot for minor to moderate injuries. Hayfield Township VFD assisted on scene.

-Mathew P. Molke, 25, of Conneaut Lake, was traveling east on Route 285 when he drove off the roadway and struck a fence at an unknown time on July 17, according to state police. He reportedly continued to travel, striking two utility poles before coming to rest. No injuries were reported.


State Police

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a case of harassment for an alleged incident on Route 322 in East Fairfield Township at 3:30 p.m. July 17. An inmate at the State Correctional Institute in Mercer reportedly wrote an obscene letter to an individual at Professional Cycle Inc. The suspect was upset because the company legally purchased a motorcycle belonging to the suspect, who was incarcerated at the time and didn’t receive any money, police said. The investigation continues.

-Richard W. Miller, 29, of Warren, was accused of harassment for an alleged physical altercation on Windfall Road in Oil Creek Township at 11:25 p.m. July 16, according to state police. He reportedly fled into the woods and was unable to be located. The investigation continues.

n Pennsylvania State Police reported a retail theft on Hydetown Road in Oil Creek Township at 7:30 a.m. July 16. Two unknown males reportedly stole several items from Wal-Mart, including a Gateway computer monitor, motor oil, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, donut holes, shoes, carpet cleaner and boxer briefs estimated at approximately $719.55. The suspects then exited through the front entrance undetected and fled the scene in a dark-colored midsized sedan, police said.
