Magisterial District Judge

-Kurtis E. Jackson, 23, of Ohio, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge William Chisholm and bound over to the next term of court on charges of rape, sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and corruption of minors. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on March 9. He was placed in Crawford County Prison on $35,000 bond with conditions. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 4.

Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Philip E. Palmer Jr., 39, of 14539 West Fremont Street, Townville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge Amy Nicols and bound over to the next term of court on charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on March 9 in Townville. His bond is set at $25,000 unsecured with conditions. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 20.

-Daniel T. Allis, 25, of Pleasantville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and five summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 27 in Oil Creek Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Robert J. Hain, 61, of Centerville, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on charges of property theft and receiving stolen property. Titusville police filed the charges for an incident on March 4. He was  released on his own recognizance.

Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Steven C. Myers, 55, of Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and three summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Feb. 14 in East Mead Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Phillip M. Badger, 27, of Jackson Center, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of DUI and four summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 17 in Cussewago Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Jeffrey W. Melnick, 57, of Cambridge Springs, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on the charge of simple assault and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on March 8 in Rockdale Township. His bond is set at $10,000 unsecured.
