Magisterial District Judge

-Sammantha N. MCarthy, 24, of 2475 Oak Street, Espyville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge William Chisholm and bound over to the next term of court on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on March 7. She was placed in Crawford County Prison on $25,000 bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 19.

Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Larry M. White, 38, of Venango, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and four summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 27 in Venango. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Randall R. Baker, 57, of Saegertown, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on charges of possession of marijuana and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 13, 2012, in Woodcock Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Scott T. Ebbert, 31, of 12546 Cole Road, Atlantic, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of obtaining possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation. The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office filed the charge for an incident on Sept. 14, 2011, in Vernon Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-John C. Mervine, 45, of 11939 Pennsylvania Avenue, Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on charges of reckless endangerment, simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and four summary charges. Vernon Township police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 31. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Lynn M. Cubitt, 26, of 435 Meadow Road, Seneca, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on the charge of retail theft. Vernon Township police filed the charge for an incident on Feb. 6. Her bond is set at $5,000 unsecured.
