State Police

-Tanya E. Burkhart, 35, of West Chester, Ohio, was traveling west on Route 6 in Pine Township when she failed to yield the right of way to driver Sarah Moss of Conneaut Lake while attempting to turn into a parking lot at 5:54 p.m. Dec. 29, according to state police. Moss’ vehicle reportedly struck Burkhart’s on the right side. No injuries were reported. Linesville VFD and Smitty’s Towing assisted on scene.


State Police

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a burglary on Mount Pleasant Road in Cambridge Township at an unknown time between Nov. 29 and Dec. 29. One or more unknown suspects reportedly broke into a mobile home and stole several items, including a push mower, battery charger, miscellaneous tools, aluminum windows and an aluminum door. Car rims for a 1970 Plymouth and a water pump were also stolen from the property, police said.

-Michael A. Swartzfager, 29, of Meadville, and Rick A. Hasbrouck, 22, of Meadville, were accused of retail theft for an alleged incident on Conneaut Lake Road in Vernon Township at 3:40 a.m. Dec. 29, according to state police. The suspects reportedly removed merchandise from Wal-Mart without paying for it.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft on McDonald Drive in Woodcock Township between 1 p.m. Dec. 27 and 3 p.m. Dec. 28. One or more unknown suspects reportedly removed two antique milk containers from a property and fled in an unknown direction.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a case of harassment for alleged incidents in Conneaut Lake and East Fallowfield Township between 2:27 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 28. A male suspect reportedly sent repeated text messages during inconvenient hours.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported access device fraud on West Central Avenue in Oil Creek Township at an unknown time Nov. 30. One or more unknown suspects reportedly made an unauthorized transaction of $327 using a resident’s credit card.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft on Buells Corners Road in Rome Township at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 27. A male suspect reportedly took a blank check from a vehicle, wrote the check out to himself in the amount of $150 and cashed it. The investigation continues.
