Magisterial District Judge

- Paul N. Gage Jr., 45, 1089 Liberty St., Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use of motor/other vehicles and one summary charge. West Mead Police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 19. He was placed in Crawford County Prison on $20,000 bail.


State Police

- Carol J. Crockett, 57, of Erie, was westbound on McClellan Street Extension when she stopped at a stop sign but failed to see John F. Meeder, 64, of Meadville, approaching southbound on Plank Road, according to state police. She pulled across the intersection and her 2010 Lincoln MKT was struck broadside by his 2006 Chrysler Town Country. Crockett sustained minor injuries, and Meeder suffered moderate injuries, according to police.

n David B. Cosmano, 43, of Stanley, N.Y., was traveling north on I-79 at mile marker 148.7 when he fell asleep at the wheel and left the roadway at 10:35 p.m. Oct. 1, according to state police. The 1994 Peterbilt semi-truck traveled about 244 feet and struck an embankment causing the trailer to overturn.


State Police

- Corey J. Urey, 26, of Cochranton, was accused of harassment after he and a 23-year-old Harmonsburg woman were involved in a minor physical domestic incident in Summit Township at 9:35 a.m. Sept. 16, according to state police. A harassment charge is pending.

n A Conneautville woman was robbed of Suboxone and $50 when an undisclosed suspect removed her purse from a Conneautville residence at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Meadville barracks. The purse and rest of its contents were found under the steps of the Conneautville library. The investigation continues.

n A Saegertown man’s vehicle was stolen from his residence at 3 a.m. Oct. 3, according to state police. The 2003 Ford Taurus was later recovered at John Merritt baseball fields in Venango. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call (814) 332-6911.

n A 37-year-old Meadville woman fell victim to fraud when one or more suspects forged her signature on a check issued to her in the amount of $145 which they cashed at 9:13 a.m., Sept. 4, according to state police. The investigation continues.
