MEADVILLE — Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Douglas S. McClure, 29, of 1129 Market St., Meadville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge Michael Rossi and bound over to the next term of court on charges of identity theft, false report, false identification to law enforcement officer and six summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Feb. 13 in Vernon Township. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Justin N. McGall, 26, of 671 Graff Ave., Meadville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge William Chisholm and bound over to the next term of court on charges of terroristic threats and simple assault. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Feb. 13. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Crashes

State Police

-Michelle L. Stroup, 43, of Centerville, was traveling south on Route 89 in Sparta Township when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway at 2:55 p.m. Feb. 14, according to state police. Her vehicle reportedly left the roadway and impacted an embankment, turning onto its driver side. No injuries were reported.

-Bonnie J. Smock, 63, of Meadville, was traveling east on Dickson Road in West Mead Township when she failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of driver Matthew Dailey of Townville at 9:54 a.m. Feb. 15, according to state police. Dailey’s vehicle reportedly struck Smock’s vehicle in the northbound lane of Leslie Road. No injuries were reported.

-Christa J. Venard-Melendez, 34, of Cambridge Springs, was traveling south on Mackey Hill Road in Rockdale Township when she lost control of her vehicle on a patch of slush and struck a tree at 2 p.m. Feb. 12, according to state police. No injuries were reported. Goodban’s Towing assisted on scene.

Crimes

State Police

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft on West Spring Street in Oil Creek Township between 12 p.m. Jan. 14 and 4:25 p.m. Feb. 14. One or more unknown suspects reportedly broke into a lockbox and stole a pocket watch, approximately 10 assorted foreign coins and $10 cash, totaling an estimated $139 in theft and $25 in damages. The investigation continues.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a case of identity theft on Ryan Road in Woodcock Township at an unknown time on Jan. 3. A Meadville resident’s name was allegedly used to order and pay for an unauthorized plumbing service.

n Pennsylvania State Police reported a burglary on Adamsville Road in South Shenango Township between 7 p.m. Feb. 13 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 14. One or more unknown suspects reportedly forced entry into a garage and fled the scene. The investigation continues.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft on Livingston Road in South Shenango Township between 7:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14. One or more unknown suspects reportedly entered a residence and took several items, including 15 to 20 guns, female jewelry, an Acer laptop computer, a PlayStation 4, an XBox 360, an olive green and black-colored Honda ATV with an electric winch and gun rack and a Horton compound crossbow with scope. The suspects drove the ATV from the scene, traveling west on Livingston Road, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call state police, Meadville barracks at 332-6911.

-Douglas S. McClure, 29, of Meadville, and Whitney E. Hobson, 23, of Erie, were accused of false identification to law enforcement authority and other charges for an alleged incident on Pennsylvania Avenue in Vernon Township at 1:49 a.m. Feb. 13, according to state police.

-Corey D. Northrop, 32, address unlisted, was accused of disorderly conduct for an alleged incident on Main Street in Spartansburg at 12:08 p.m. Feb. 11, according to state police. He reportedly turned off an individual’s water valve with the intent to cause public inconvenience. The investigation continues.
