Magisterial District Judge

-Alisha L. Lindsey, 32, of Union City, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of welfare fraud. The Inspector General’s office filed the charge for an incident on March 31 in Meadville. She was released on her own recognizance.

-Elijah T. Boyd, 22, of Erie, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on charges of burglary, three counts of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, false imprisonment of a minor, theft by unlawful taking and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 7. He was placed in the Crawford County jail on $50,000 bond.

-Carla M. Speed, 37, of 181 Walker Drive, Meadville, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on charges of burglary, three counts of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 7. She was placed in Crawford County jail on $50,000 bond.

Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Chad M. Hoey, 19, of 23787 Route 285, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and one summary charge. Vernon Township police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 17. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Gary M. Manning, 37, of 19777 Forest Green Drive, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of theft by deception. Vernon Township police filed the charge for an incident on Feb. 7. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Patricia L. Shearer, 26, of 11939 Pennsylvania Avenue, Meadville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of retail theft. Vernon Township police filed the charge for an incident on Sept. 10. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

n Joseph J. Cancear, 25, of 509 Stokes Ave., North Braddock, was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm for Judge Michael Rossi and bound over to the next term of court on the charge of theft of leased property. Cochranton police filed the charge for an incident on Jan. 16. He was released on nonmonetary bond with conditions.
