MEADVILLE — Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Jessica L. Walton, 35, of 111 Walker Drive, Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm and bound over to the next term of court on the charge of simple assault and three summary charges. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 23. She was released from Crawford County jail on $2,500 bond.

-Christopher P. Maynard, 39, of 4611 Hoffman Lane, Cochranton, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of access device fraud, theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 23. He was released from Crawford County jail on $20,000 bond.

-Doneil M. Hamilton, 22, of 3371⁄2 Willow St., Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 1. He was released from Crawford County jail on $5,000 bond.

-Jason A. Bailey, 30, of 655 Baldwin St., was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, intentional possession of a controlled substance, two counts of simple assault and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Nov. 16. He was placed in Crawford County jail on $10,000 bond.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Kyle J. Baker, 22, of Titusville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and one summary charge. Titusville police filed the charges for an incident on Nov. 28. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Ricky L. Alexander, 51, of Townville, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on charges of forgery, theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and theft by failing to make a required disposition of funds. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Feb. 11 in Townville. He was released from Crawford County jail on $25,000 bond.



Crashes

State Police

-Susan A. Peterson, 30, address unlisted, was traveling in an unknown direction on Route 79 in Cussewago Township when she lost control of her vehicle while passing another vehicle during a winter storm at 8:21 a.m. Jan. 23, according to state police. No further information was provided.

-Nicole Beiter, 27, address unlisted, was traveling in an unknown direction on Route 79 in Vernon Township when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway at 9:22 a.m. Jan. 23, according to state police. No further information was provided.

-Zachary Smith, 24, address unlisted, was traveling in an unknown direction on Route 198 in Hayfield Township when his vehicle struck a tractor trailer, driven by Regina France, address unlisted, at 11:46 a.m. Jan. 23, according to state police. Smith reportedly sustained minor injuries.

-Krista Powell, 18, of McMurray, was traveling north on Interstate 79 in Hayfield Township when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway at 9:49 a.m. Jan. 23, according to state police. Her vehicle reportedly struck driver Edward Gilmore, of Clintonville, and spun clockwise until struck by the vehicle of driver Charles Paydo, address unlisted. No injuries were reported. Hayfield fire department assisted on scene.

-Matthew Weaver, 31, of Meadville, was traveling north on Interstate 79 in Vernon Township when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway at 8:01 a.m. Jan. 24, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly struck a guardrail and traveled into the path of driver Todd Hayden of Prospect. Hayden’s vehicle struck Weaver’s before both vehicles came to rest, police said. No injuries were reported. Hayfield fire department assisted on scene.

-James Jelar, 36, of North Olmstead, Ohio, was traveling north on Interstate 79 in Cusse-wago Township when he lost control of his vehicle at 11:07 a.m. Jan. 24, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck a guardrail before traveling into a ravine, impacting several trees. He was transported to UPMC Hamot in Erie for injuries of unknown severity, police said. Hayfield fire department, Edinboro fire department and the Pennsylva-nia Department of Transportation assisted on scene.

-Garth Delp, 21, of Conneaut Lake, was traveling east on Route 322 in West Fallowfield Township when his vehicle left the roadway at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 23, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly struck fencing and became disabled. He fled the scene and was later found at his residence, police said. No injuries reported. Driving under the influence charges pending.

-Ashley E. Chiocco, 29, of Conneautville was traveling east on Gospel Hill Road east of Center Road in Venango Township Jan. 23 at 5:53 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Winifred E. Ketcham, 77, of Meadville, emerged from a driveway in front of Chiocco’s vehicle. Chiocco was unable to stop and her vehicle collided with Ketcham’s car. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

-Harold E. Herrick, 85, of Jamestown was traveling north on East Lake Road, South Shenango Township, at 2:59 p.m. on Jan. 24, negotiated a bend, struck a patch of snow, lost traction and started to slide. Herrick unable to gain control of the vehicle which slid over a slight embankment and rolled onto its side. Herrick was not injured.

-Nicole L. Beck, 29, of Cambridge Springs was traveling southbound on State Highway 98 in Cussewago Township at 11 p.m. on Jan. 25 when she lost control on the snow/ice covered roadway while negotiating a curve, slid off the roadway and struck a guardrail. Beck was not injured.

-Wesley C. Casbohm, 62, of Cambridge Springs was northbound on Routes 6/19 at 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 25 when he lost control on the partial snow/ice covered roadway while negotiating a left curve, slid across the roadway, struck a ditch and continued before coming to rest against several trees. Casbohm and passenger Shirley Casbohm, 57, of Cam-bridge Springs were not injured.

-James C. Irwin, 28, of Centerville was slowing to make a left turn from State Route 77 into a private driveway in Sparta Township at 6:55 a.m. on Jan. 24 when John C. Roberson, 44, of Townville, who was traveling behind Irwin, struck the right left corner of Irwin’s car, traveled across the road into a lawn and hit a house. Roberson sustained major injury. Irwin was not injured.



Crimes

State Police

-Someone entered three separate homes on Montgomery and Duff Drives in North Shenango Township over the last two weeks and caused damage to the doors and broke several glass windows. Anyone with information should call state police at 332-6911.

-Someone entered a vacant home on Watson Road, Hayfield Township at 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 and removed scap metal items. An old metal wood burning stove, farm trailer, old copper water boiler and miscellaneous metal items were reported missing.

-Someone placed sugar in the gas tank of a vehicle owned by a Vista Drive, Woodcock Township resident at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 23.
