MEADVILLE — Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Diana R. Jones, 43, of 311 Water St., Jamestown, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of DUI and three summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 15 in Sadsbury Township. She was released on her own recognizance.

-Scott D. Oberle, 51, of 93 Clarksville St., Greenville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of DUI and four summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 19 in West Fallowfield Township. He was released on his own recognizance.



Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-William F. Bayles, 36, of 23492 North Creek Road, Springboro, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge William Chisholm and bound over to the next term of court on two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 8. He was placed in Crawford County jail on $10,000 bond with conditions.

n Anthony J. Olon, 21, of 545 S. Main St., Meadville, was arraigned and bound over to the next term of court on two counts of simple assault and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 22. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bond with conditions.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-James Bernard Taylor Sr., 55, of Corry, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and three summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Nov. 10 in Sparta Township. He was released on his own recognizance.



Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-James R. Newbould, 55, of 13259 McClintock Road, Medville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi and was bound over to the next term of court on the charge of simple assault and one summary charge. Vernon Township police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 16. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

-William A. Malady III, 19, of 1004 1st St., Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on four counts of driving under the influence and two summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 18 in Vernon Township. He was released on his own recognizance.



Crimes

State Police

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft on Tryonville Road in Steuben Township between 11:30 a.m. Jan. 18 and 10 a.m. Jan. 20. One or more unknown suspects reportedly removed an oil reservoir cap, valued at approximately $20, from a car parked outside a residence and fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to call state police, Corry barracks at (814) 663-2043.

-Mitchell F. Malone, 44, of Springboro, was accused of possessing a counterfeit registration plate for an alleged incident on Beaver Center Road in Springboro at 2:40 a.m. Jan. 15, according to state police. He was stopped after reportedly running a stop sign. The registration on his plate did not belong to the vehicle and the expiration sticker was fraudulent, police said.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft on Kendra Lane in Summit Township between 12:01 a.m. Dec. 6 and 12 a.m. Jan. 12. One or more unknown suspects reportedly stole a 9mm pistol, valued at approximately $170, from a resident.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a case of harassment for an alleged physical altercation on Shadeland Road in Spring Township between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Jan. 16. The investigation continues.



Crashes

State Police

-There were no injuries in a one-car crash on Route 18 near Hill Road in Summerhill Township at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 18. Raymond C. McCormick, 58, of Conneautville was driving north, lost control of his car and it struck a guardrail. McCormick and a passenger, Vivian E. Wiley, 58, of Springboro, both were wearing seat belts.

n Carmine V. Ciotti, 53, of Erie, was driving south on Interstate 79 when he lost control of his car at Milepost 148 in Vernon Township at 6:02 a.m. Jan. 19. The vehicle went off the road and struck a guardrail.

-Christopher J. Crawford, 40, whose address wasn’t listed, was driving south on Plank Road in Venango Township at 4:17 p.m. Jan. 18 and lost control of his car as he attempted to turn into a parking lot. The vehicle struck a utility pole.

-Joseph A. Kitza, whose age and address weren’t listed, wasn’t injured in a one-vehicle crash on Shadeland Road in Spring Township at 10:38 p.m. Jan. 17. Kitza was driving west before he lost control of his vehicle, which went off the road, rolled over and struck a tree.
