MEADVILLE — Crashes

State Police

-David E. Brown, 61, of West Springfield, was traveling south on Route 99 in Venango Township when he lost control of his vehicle at 7:53 a.m. Jan. 20, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck a guardrail. He sustained minor injuries, police said. Cambridge Springs VFD assisted on scene.

-Douglas E. Sourbeer, 57, of Willow Street, was traveling north on Route 6/19 in Hayfield Township when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway at 11:01 a.m. Jan. 20, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck several trees. No injuries were reported.

-Stephen C. Parker, 57, of Union City, was traveling north on Route 8 in Bloomfield Township when his vehicle left the roadway at 12:30 a.m. Jan. 20, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly struck a ditch, slid up an embankment and hit a metal utility box. No injuries were reported.

-Jo E. Schumacher, 45, of Conneautville, was traveling east on Route 198 in Spring Township when he lost control of his vehicle at 8:33 a.m. Jan. 20, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck a ditch. He was transported to Meadville Medical Center for minor injuries, police said. Springboro fire department and West End Towing assisted on scene.

-Ryan M. Charsar, age unlisted, of Jamestown, was traveling southwest on Route 322 in South Shenango Township when his vehicle left the roadway at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 16, according to state police. The vehicle reportedly struck a stop sign and utility pole. Charsar left the scene of the crash, police said. The investigation continues. No injuries were reported.

-Dean A. Wood, 46, of Saegertown, was traveling north on Leslie Road in West Mead Township when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered road at 2:10 a.m. Jan. 19, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly struck a ditch and utility pole before rolling onto its side. No injuries were reported.

-Judith A. Bell-Dorman, 71, of Greenville, was traveling on Williamsfield Road in West Shenango Township when she struck driver Dwayne Burlingame of Erie, who was attempting to turn onto Fry Road at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 22, according to state police. Bell-Dorman was reportedly trying to pass a vehicle behind Burlingame’s and failed to see him turning. Both drivers were transported to UPMC Greenville for minor injuries, police said. Both vehicles were reportedly disabled from the crash. Jamestown VFD assisted on scene.
