MEADVILLE — Crashes

State Police

-Nathan P. McGowan, 18, of Meadville, was injured in a one-car crash on Grange Center Road in Hayfield Township at 3:37 p.m. Friday. McGowan was driving south when his car went off the road, hit a ditch on the west side of the road and the car overturned. McGowan was released after treatment at Meadville Medical Center. He was wearing a seat belt.

-An unknown vehicle driving north on Route 18 in Summerhill Township went off the east side of the road and struck a set of wooden stairs at at a home in the 16000 block of Route 18 sometime between 1 and 7 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then left the scene traveling north on Route 18.

-Morgan T. Schenberg, 17, of Meadville was traveling south on South Mosiertown Road, Hayfield Township, at 10:15 p.m. on May 17 when he lost control, left the roadway and rolled. Schenberg was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

Crimes

State Police

-Police were notified that a vehicle had been rummaged through and a handgun removed from the center console of a car parker at a Franklin Pike, East Fairfield Township location at 12:12 p.m. on May 18. An investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Meadville at 332-6911.

-Police were notified that a gas cap was removed from a vehicle and gasoline taken from the tank at a Vernon Street, Vernon Township location at 8:45 a.m. on May 18. The investigation continues.

-Four vehicle radiators and five car batteries were taken from outside a Geneva Road residence in Union Township between May 8 and 12:55 p.m. Tuesday.
