MEADVILLE — Crimes

State Police

-Pennsylvania State Police reported criminal mischief on North Perry Road in Oil Creek Township at 9:53 a.m. April 25. An unknown suspect reportedly drove through a front lawn twice and fled eastbound towards Route 98 in what police described as a dark, older model Jeep Cherokee. Anyone with information is asked to call state police, Corry barracks at (814) 663-2043.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a theft by unlawful taking on Shenango Drive in Jamestown between Oct. 20, 2013, and April 26. An individual reported a row of firewood missing from their summer home.

-Jason T. Sorenberger, 38, of Waterford, was accused of harassment for an alleged incident on Byler Road in Spartansburg at 9 p.m. April 22, according to state police. He reportedly sent multiple harassing emails to another person.

n Pennsylvania State Police reported corruption of minors for an alleged incident on Buells Corners Road in Rome Township between April 10 and 18. Police are investigating an incident where unwanted images were sent to a juvenile.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a burglary on Inlet Road in Summerhill Township between 8 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. April 25. One or more unknown suspects reportedly entered a residence and garage, damaging several items and removing a Playstation 3 game console before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported harassment for an alleged physical altercation on Williamsfield Road in West Shenango Township at 1:26 a.m. April 25. The investigation continues.

-Pennsylvania State Police reported a burglary on South Inlet Road in Summerhill Township between 10:10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. April 25. One or more unknown suspects reportedly entered a residence and stole three guns, cash, jewelry, electronics and other miscellaneous items. Anyone with information is asked to call state police, Meadville barracks at 332-6911.

Crashes

State Police

-Drew Shipley, 24, of Jamestown, was traveling east on Westford Road in West Fallowfield Township when a deer ran into the roadway at approximately 3:15 a.m. April 27, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly left the roadway, striking a mailbox before driving off an embankment and going airborne, impacting a tree. The vehicle then spun clockwise and struck another tree, ejecting Shipley from the vehicle, police said. He was reportedly taken to UPMC Horizon for moderate injuries. Fallowfield fire department and Roger’s Towing assisted on scene.

-A 16-year-old Guys Mills male was traveling south on McFadden Road in Randolph Township when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway at 7:04 p.m. April 26, according to state police. His vehicle reportedly struck a ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Leonard’s Towing assisted on scene.
