MEADVILLE — Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Robert M. Weimert, 23, of 5257 Pine Road, Hartstown, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on two counts of driving under the influence and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 7 in Vernon Township. He was released on his own recognizance.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Shawn E. Blanchard, 35, of Titusville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols on the charge of intentional possession of a controlled substance. Titusville Police filed the charge for an incident on May 5. He was placed in Crawford County Prison on $5,000 unsecured bond.



Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Michael L. Bloom, 21, of Conneautville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver on the charge of driving under the influence and eight summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 7 in Hayfield Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Laura B. Nageotte, 22, of Meadville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of DUI and three summary charges Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 15 in Woodcock Township. She ws released on her own recognizance.



Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Patrick Francis Brown Sr., 43, of Franklin Pike Road, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday before Meadville Area Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on Pennsylvania State Police charges of disseminating photographs or film of child sex acts, eight counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possessing an instrument of crime.

According to the criminal complaint, on four separate occasions between May 8 and June 22, members of the state police computer crime unit were allegedly able to make a direct connection to Brown’s computer and download five child pornography video files, which Brown was allegedly making available for other internet users to download via a file-sharing program. Brown was released on his own recognizance.

-Frank A. Kerstetter, 22, of 783 Water St., Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing on charges of criminal conspiracy, burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property. Meadville Police filed the charges or an incident on Oct. 6.

He was also held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood on charges of burglary, theft and one summary charge, filed by Pennsylvania State Police for an incident on Jan. 23 in Conneaut Township. He was returned to Crawford County Prison on a total bail of $50,000.

n Curtis D. Littleton III, 25, of 783 Water St., Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of criminal conspiracy, burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. Meadville Police filed the charge for an incident on Oct. 6. He was released on his own recognizance.



Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Kara L. Challingsworth, 40, of 126 Village Drive, Cranberry Township, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood on two counts of driving under the influence and one summary charge. Conneaut Lake Police filed the charges for an incident on July 15 in Sadsbury Township. She was released on her own recognizance. Her arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 30.



Crashes

State Police

-A car driven by Christina Fleishell, 33, of 36139 Hemlock St. West, Union City, was traveling west on Lake Road in Bloomfield Township Sunday at 11 p.m. when the operator lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, causing the operator, who was not wearing a seat belt, to be ejected from the vehicle. Passenger Jennifer Marie Laser-Ferraro of 24600 Weed St., Union City, sustained minor injuries. Fleishell will face charges of driving too fast for conditions.



Crimes

State Police

-A 58-year-old Springboro woman reported the theft of her brush-hog from property in McKean Township, Erie County, at 9:36 a.m. Oct. 28, according to State Police.
