MEADVILLE — Vernon Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Christopher A. Crowe, 38, of P.O. Box 784, Linesville, was bound over to the next term of court following a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on charges of driving under the influence and two summary counts. Vernon Township Police filed the charges for an incident May 7. He was released on his own recognizance.

Magisterial District Judge

-Tad C. Bond, 21, of Cambridge Springs waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcohol to minors. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident April 19 in Rockdale Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-A charge of corruption of minors filed against Bobbie Jo Chase, 34, of Cambridge Springs, was dismissed by Zilhaver. State police had filed the charges for an incident April 19 in Rockdale Township.

n Jared M. Slaughter, 26, of Meadville was arraigned on charges of burglary, theft by unlawful taking, criminal trespass and a summary count. State police filed the charges for an incident May 21 in Woodcock Township. He was placed in the Crawford County jail in lieu of $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled June 17.

-Janice Donachy, 52, of Cambridge Springs waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of driving under the influence and two summary counts. She was released on her own recognizance.

Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Nick R. Heirendt, 26, of 1000 Spring St., McDonald, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident May 3 in West Shenango Township. He was returned to the Crawford County jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

-Gregory L. Shaffer Jr., 23, of 2261 Kinnard Road, Greenville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. State police filed the charges for an incident in East Fallowfield Township Feb. 16. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Thomas Michael Blair, 58, of 19750 Mallory Road, Cochranton, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of fraudulent vehicle title registration and five summary counts. Conneaut Lake Regional Police filed the charges for an incident April 28. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Sheree Y. Benefield, 48, of 110 Washington St., Bellevue, was bound over to the next term of court following a preliminary hearing on charges of terroristic threats, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, simple assault and harassment. Pymatuning State Park Police filed the charges for an incident May 4 in North Shenango Township. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

-Matthew L. Fogus, 21, of 23492 N. Creek Road, Apt. 2, Springboro was arraigned on charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident April 9 in Spring Township. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
