MEADVILLE — Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Crystal D. Bennett, 39, of 206 East Carlton Road, Carlton, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood, standing in for Judge Michael Rossi, and was bound over to the next term of court on charges of theft and receiving stolen property. Vernon Township police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 6. Her bail is set at $5,000 unsecured. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 26.

-Erick D. Crump, 20, of 416 Pine St., Meadville, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood for Judge Michael Rossi on charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, endangering the welfare of children, criminal mischief, simple assault and one summary charge. Vernon Township Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 13. He was placed in Crawford County Prison on $25,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23.

-Derrick E. Crump, 21, of 416 Pine St., Meadville, was arraigned on charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, endangering the welfare of children, criminal mischief, two counts of simple assault and one summary charge. Vernon Township Police filed the charges for an incident on Oct. 13. He was placed in Crawford County Prison on $25,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23.

Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

-Christopher L. Beers, 20, of 1128 S. Main St., Meadville, was held for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on the charge of simple assault and one summary charge. Meadville police filed the charges for an incident on Sept. 29. He was released on non-monetary bail.

Crimes

State Police

-A Conneaut Lake man was charged with the assault and harassment of two victims for an incident Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. in Summit Township, according to state police.

-A 45-year-old Munhall man reported the theft of a submersible pump that caused subsequent damage to his water well system between 4 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in West Shenango Township.

State Police

-David M. Harding, 21, of Conneautville, was traveling west on Interstate 90, west of South Creek Road in Girard Township, Erie, County, when he fell apparently asleep in his 1994 GMC Sierra and it left the roadway and struck a guardrail at 7:10 p.m. Oct. 10, according to police.
